He underscored Huawei's commitment to fostering a mutually beneficial partnership with automakers. Jin highlighted the importance of deep collaboration between automakers and component suppliers, rather than automakers attempting to develop every aspect in-house without careful consideration. He specifically advised automakers to conduct a thorough cost-benefit analysis before embarking on in-house development of intelligent driving systems. For vehicle models priced under RMB 200,000, some automakers argue that in-house development is essential for cost control. Nevertheless, developing intelligent driving systems internally demands substantial investment in software, hardware, and domain controllers, along with ongoing updates and improvements. For automakers with annual sales volumes below 1 million vehicles, the in-house development approach proves to be both financially burdensome and inefficient.
