On September 27th, Li Bin, the Chairman of NIO, revealed at the PowerUP2026 NIO Power Day event that NIO currently operates 4,125 battery swap stations nationwide. These stations collectively form an 8GWh energy storage network, dedicated to providing services to vehicle owners and the broader society. The milestone 4,125th battery swap station was inaugurated at Sayram Lake. This battery swap route commences in Xi'an, Shaanxi, in the east, and stretches westward to Horgos, Xinjiang, covering a total distance of 3,605 kilometers and encompassing 33 battery swap stations along its path. Upon the completion of this route, owners of NIO and Ledo vehicles will be able to embark on long-distance, pure electric battery swap journeys along the Silk Road.
