At the 2026 Annual Technology Conference, Zhu Jiangming, the founder of Leapmotor, revealed that while Leapmotor has the technological prowess to delve into embodied intelligence, it refrains from indulging in concept hype and currently positions itself as a follower in the field. The company has successfully developed a robot in-house, but it has underscored that the robot will only be introduced to the market after identifying dependable application scenarios and ensuring its profitability. Furthermore, Leapmotor also showcased a range of self-developed technologies, such as a three-level hybrid transmission electric drive system with an impressive overall efficiency of 94%, a full-solid-state lidar system boasting a resolution of '440,000 + 440,000', an 8-megapixel three-in-one camera that achieves the functionality of three cameras with a single CMOS sensor, and a panoramic head-up display (P-HUD).
