On September 16th, reports emerged indicating that John Lee, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, highlighted in the Policy Address that the nation stands at the forefront globally in pioneering charging technologies. Notably, megawatt-level flash charging technology is capable of fully recharging a private car in a mere nine minutes, whereas battery swapping technology can restore energy in as swiftly as around 100 seconds. With the impetus from the SAR government, it is anticipated that relevant projects will be rolled out in Hong Kong in the foreseeable future. Furthermore, the Environment and Ecology Bureau is working in tandem with the National Energy Administration to devise plans for establishing Hong Kong's inaugural ChaoJi charging technology demonstration station by 2027, demonstrating its capability to align with both national and European charging standards.
