The 5th International Summit on the Large-Scale Application of Beidou took place in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province, from September 15 to 16. During an interview at the summit, Zhou Hongyi, the founder of 360 Group, made it clear that he would not be investing in new energy vehicles again, citing the losses he had already incurred. He expressed his belief that the AI sector presents more promising opportunities and encouraged entrepreneurs to focus on mastering Agent technology. In 2021, 360 Group had laid out plans to invest a substantial 2.9 billion yuan in Neta Auto, with an initial investment of 1.9 billion yuan. However, in 2022, the company decided to transfer 1 billion yuan worth of uninvested equity for a nominal sum of 0 yuan and opted not to make any further investments. At that time, 360 Group stated that this decision was made to empower Neta Auto's founding team to take the lead in its development. Unfortunately, in May 2025, Neta Auto filed for bankruptcy review and officially entered bankruptcy proceedings the following month. The situation further deteriorated in March 2026 when Neta Auto's founder, Fang Yunzhou, and its former CEO, Zhang Yong, were listed as dishonest individuals subject to enforcement.
