Porsche has officially declared that a gathering of over 1,200 car enthusiasts and more than 400 Porsche sports cars came together to witness the momentous occasion of the one-millionth new car delivery in the Chinese mainland. Since its foray into the Chinese mainland market in 2001, Porsche has amassed a cumulative delivery volume surpassing one million units over the past two and a half decades. Remarkably, in 2010, Porsche's sales in China exceeded 10,000 units. From 2015 onward, the Chinese market has consistently held the title of Porsche's largest single market globally for seven years running, with a record-breaking delivery volume of 95,671 units in 2021. However, Porsche is currently navigating through sales challenges in China, as evidenced by a roughly 32% year-on-year decline in deliveries during the first half of 2026. In light of this, Porsche remains steadfast in its commitment to the "value over volume" strategy, emphasizing the pursuit of unique driving pleasure, the preservation of brand heritage, the celebration of classic cars, the cultivation of community culture, and the provision of personalized customization services. In parallel, Porsche is poised to restructure its sales network in China, with plans to reduce the number of outlets from 114 by the end of 2025 to approximately 80 by the end of 2026. Furthermore, in March 2026, Porsche is set to inaugurate its inaugural community space, the "Porsche Friends Space," in Shenzhen, and anticipates hosting over 30 related events throughout the year.
