Based on reports from the automotive complaint platform Chezhinet, Tesla's Model Y has recently been the subject of a surge in collective complaints from vehicle owners. The primary grievance stems from significant price reductions that occurred shortly after their purchases, with the majority of these complaints pertaining to the 2026 model. On September 7, Tesla China made an announcement stating that from that day until September 30, all existing Model 3 vehicles would qualify for a 5,000 yuan cash rebate, while all existing Model Y vehicles would be eligible for a 10,000 yuan cash rebate. This announcement has sparked widespread dissatisfaction among numerous owners who had just recently taken delivery of their new vehicles. These owners are now demanding compensation. However, Tesla's customer service team has clarified that the promotion was a temporary measure and that customers who have already taken delivery of their vehicles are not eligible to receive the benefits of this discount.
