During the 2026 Chengdu Auto Show, BYD's premium brand, Fangchengbao, made a global splash by introducing two high-end new energy coupes—the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT. These models are slated for an official market launch in September. Presently, both vehicles are open for pre-orders across the country, with prices ranging from RMB 230,000 to RMB 280,000. While the Fangcheng S and Fangcheng S GT differ in their size and design aesthetics, they both boast a top speed surpassing 240km/h. In terms of powertrain options, both models are available with single- and dual-motor setups, and all variants are equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery packs, ensuring robust performance and safety. Moreover, the Fangcheng S series marks the debut of BYD's cutting-edge Smart Ecosystem 2.0 system. This innovative system allows for extensive customization of in-cabin functions, paving the way for a truly 'evolvable cabin' experience that adapts to the driver's and passengers' needs.
