Peng Lei, the Product Director of Huawei Smart Selection's AURUS series, has announced that the bespoke electric roof tent for Hongmeng Zhixing's premier tech-luxury off-road SUV, the AURUS G9, is now gradually making its way into stores. This electric roof tent, a factory-installed option, features a seamless, integrated body structure. When fully extended, it provides an expansive interior space exceeding 2260 liters, complete with a standard double bed. It supports one-touch electric opening and closing, seamlessly connects with the vehicle's cabin, and is equipped with anti-pinch safety detection. Additionally, it shares the vehicle's heating and cooling system for enhanced comfort.
The AURUS G9 made its debut on August 20th and quickly garnered attention, securing over 5,000 firm orders within the first 24 hours, with high-end variants accounting for more than 95% of the total. Pre-sale orders soared past 15,000 within just 72 hours. As the first vehicle to be outfitted with Huawei's All-Terrain Turing Platform and an 800V fully active disconnectable stabilizer bar, the AURUS G9 offers both pure electric and extended-range powertrain options. It comes standard with an 800V high-voltage platform and has been granted a Beijing L3 autonomous driving road test license, allowing it to operate at speeds up to 120 km/h. This makes it the first mass-produced model capable of covering the full range of legal speed limit scenarios on highways.
