After availing themselves of the two free charges, they would disconnect the accounts and sell the 'free charging slots' to truck drivers for a profit. Within a month, the total electricity costs amassed surpassed 400,000 yuan. Following a report from the aggrieved company, both individuals were apprehended. The Shanghai Pudong New Area People's Procuratorate concluded that their actions constituted fraud and sanctioned their arrest. The pair expressed their readiness to actively make amends for the losses incurred. Liang declared his intention to sell his house to fully compensate for the damages.
