Furthermore, a '15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicle Industry' will be crafted to foster high-quality growth within the sector.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China's new energy vehicle industry witnessed a remarkable surge, escalating from the million-unit mark to surpass 10 million units. Annual sales skyrocketed from 1.367 million units to 16.49 million units, while the share of new vehicle sales climbed from 5.4% to 47.9%. The industrial ecosystem has progressively matured, with China now manufacturing over 70% of the global supply of new energy vehicles, power batteries, and essential materials. Chinese products are now exported to over 100 countries and regions, steadily amplifying their global footprint and influence.
