According to data published by the South Korean research institution SNE Research on August 5, in the first half of 2026, the cumulative installed capacity of power batteries across the globe soared to 608.5 GWh, marking a year-on-year surge of 20%. Among the top ten manufacturers, seven Chinese companies collectively dominated with a 72.4% market share, experiencing a 1.5 percentage point increase from the previous year. Notably, within the top five, only South Korea's LG Energy Solution retained its position, while the remaining four slots were claimed by Chinese manufacturers. This trend underscores the ongoing shift in the competitive landscape of the global power battery market, with China emerging as a dominant force.
