Ding Yan, co-Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Luming Robot, an embodied artificial intelligence (AI) company, has recently stepped down from his position. His tenure at the company spanned less than 280 days, and his profile on the team collaboration software has now been marked as 'suspended.' Luming Robot was founded in September 2024 in Shenzhen by Yu Chao, the former head of the humanoid robot business at Dreame Technology. As a seasoned expert in the robotics field, Ding Yan had previously held positions at prestigious institutions such as Ford, Meta, and the Shanghai AI Lab. At present, Luming Robot’s research and development (R&D) team remains stable, with over 70% of its members being R&D personnel, including more than ten PhDs, covering a broad spectrum of technical areas. Sina Technology contacted Luming Robot to confirm this matter, but as of press time, no response had been received.
