On August 3, as per the latest 'Automobile Dealer Inventory Early Warning Index Survey' released by the China Automobile Dealers Association (CADA), the automobile dealer inventory early warning index for July 2026 climbed to 61.1%. This marks a year-on-year and month-on-month increase of 3.9 percentage points, surpassing the established threshold. Dealers predict that the automobile market will maintain its off-peak trend in August, as high temperatures deter offline customer visits and a prevailing wait-and-see attitude among consumers persists. Nevertheless, the anticipated surge in car purchase demand during the graduation and back-to-school seasons is expected to drive sales figures higher than those recorded in July.
