Today, CATL unveiled that its innovative ‘Chocolate’ battery swap network has achieved a significant milestone, deploying a cumulative total of 2,000 battery swap stations nationwide within the first half of the year. This expansive network now encompasses 180 cities across 31 provinces, boasting over 80% coverage in small and medium-sized cities and marking notable advancements in the expressway network infrastructure. The network's reach has extended from major urban centers to county-level regions, with the inaugural batch of battery swap stations in Hong Kong already up and running.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, CATL plans to further amplify its presence, increasing the total number of stations to 3,000 and expanding coverage to over 190 cities. In tandem with this growth, the nation's pioneering standardized battery swap ecosystem tailored for light trucks has begun to take shape. Already, 52 dedicated stations for light trucks have been established in the Greater Bay Area, with projections to escalate this number to 140 by the year's end. This strategic deployment aims to forge a 15-minute city distribution battery swap service circle within the core area, revolutionizing the logistics landscape.
