On June 29, Toyota Motor Corporation unveiled data revealing that, according to the new statistical approach (which encompasses solely Toyota and Daihatsu Motor), its global production volume for May 2026 stood at 857,765 units, marking a 5.8% year-on-year decrease. Concurrently, global sales reached 885,207 units, experiencing a 7.4% decline compared to the same period last year. Notably, beginning in April 2026, Hino Motors has been excluded from the group's statistical calculations.
