The Senior Vice President of BYD Brazil has announced that the company is scaling up its battery production capabilities within the country, as part of a broader initiative to bolster local manufacturing. The strategic move aims to ensure that by early 2027, 50% of the components used in vehicles produced in Brazil are sourced locally. Furthermore, BYD has earmarked an investment of around $100 million for the development of energy storage systems, designed to bolster Brazil's national power grid infrastructure.
