On June 15, TE Connectivity (TE), a worldwide frontrunner in connectivity and sensor technologies, declared the formal launch of operations at its cutting-edge automotive manufacturing facility in Chongchuan District, Nantong City. Boasting a total investment of US$150 million and sprawling across roughly 39,900 square meters, this site primarily manufactures essential components, including high-voltage connectors for electric vehicles and high-speed, high-frequency automotive data connectors. Notably, it stands as TE’s only production hub in China that unifies the production of products such as floating cameras for driver-assistance systems and in-vehicle Type-C data cables. The inauguration of the Nantong facility will further TE’s commitment to localization, bolstering its capacity to cater to the demands of China’s burgeoning electric vehicle and intelligent connected vehicle sectors.
