According to a research report released by Huatai Securities, eleven key departments, including the Ministry of Transport and the National Development and Reform Commission, have recently collaborated to issue the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Large-Scale Deployment of New Energy Heavy Trucks." This plan outlines a clear objective: by 2030, the sales penetration rate of new energy heavy trucks is expected to hit 40%, with the total fleet surpassing 1.6 million units, constituting around 20% of the market. Huatai Securities highlights that this marks the inaugural instance of a national quantitative target being established for the heavy truck sector in China, known for its high energy consumption and substantial battery capacity requirements. Furthermore, the plan integrates the development of essential infrastructure, such as charging stations and battery swap facilities, into a comprehensive strategy. This approach fosters coordinated progress across multiple scenarios and technologies, thereby providing a significant boost to the domestic power battery and green hydrogen industry chains.
