On June 12, 2026, Cadillac made an official announcement that, from that date until June 30, it will implement a three-year, 80% residual value buyback program for all its gasoline-powered vehicles. This policy encompasses popular models like the CT5, CT6, XT4, and XT5. Under this initiative, consumers have the option to request a buyback from a partner institution designated by the manufacturer. They can do so at 80% of the original vehicle's invoice price, within the timeframe of the 12th to the 36th month from the date of purchase as indicated on the invoice. The amount received can then be utilized as credit towards the purchase of a new vehicle from the same brand. Additionally, Cadillac has pledged to offer a complimentary replacement with a brand-new vehicle in the event that a single accident within the first three years of ownership causes damages equivalent to 30% or more of the original vehicle's purchase invoice price.
