According to the most recent data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory achieved a significant milestone in May 2026 by delivering over 85,000 electric vehicles. This figure not only sets a new monthly record for the year 2026 but also represents a robust year-on-year growth of 39.4% and an 8% increase from the previous month. Serving as Tesla's premier global export center, the Shanghai Gigafactory is responsible for more than half of the company's worldwide deliveries. Presently, its spacious six-seater luxury SUV, the Model Y L, is experiencing accelerated distribution across several Asia-Pacific regions, including Singapore, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines.
