On June 1, the Chengdu Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, in collaboration with the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, unveiled the Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of a National Advanced Manufacturing Base. These Opinions outline a vision for Chengdu to cement its position as a national advanced manufacturing hub by 2030, marked by a substantial boost in its manufacturing services capabilities. These capabilities will support national strategies, bolster urban development, pioneer industrial innovation, and enhance its global competitiveness. Looking ahead to 2035, the industrial added value is projected to surge to the trillion-yuan threshold, solidifying Chengdu's status as a premier national advanced manufacturing base.

To realize this ambitious goal, Chengdu is set to nurture and fortify its strategic emerging industries. This will be achieved through the implementation of cutting-edge industrial innovation projects, propelling the growth of artificial intelligence (AI), the low-altitude economy, and green hydrogen energy. Simultaneously, Chengdu will strengthen its foundational capabilities in integrated circuits, novel display technologies, and aerospace. Furthermore, the city will accelerate the modernization of intelligent connected vehicles, rail transit, and biomedical sectors, thereby fostering new pillars of development and establishing fresh benchmarks in the industrial landscape.
