On May 14th, it was reported that the No.1 Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Quality Development Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the Fire Supervision Department of the National Fire and Rescue Administration recently jointly held a video conference to deploy the safety management work of new energy vehicles for this year. The conference emphasized that vehicle and power battery manufacturers should assume primary responsibility for product quality and safety, prioritize quality management, strengthen risk prevention in all aspects from R&D design, manufacturing, to after-sales service, and ensure that consumers receive accurate information to avoid exaggerated promotions. Meanwhile, enterprises should establish a reward mechanism for reporting potential accident hazards, deepen hazard identification and elimination, and uphold the safety bottom line (safety bottom line). The three departments will collaborate with relevant departments to strengthen coordination, conduct safety hazard investigations and defect investigations, implement special initiatives for production consistency and quality improvement of road motor vehicle products, strictly crack down on violations, and maintain the order of healthy industrial development.
