Recently, during institutional research, Huafeng Aluminium announced that the Chongqing Phase II project—an intelligent manufacturing endeavor designed to produce 450,000 tonnes of high-end aluminium sheet, strip, and foil annually for new energy vehicles—is advancing steadily. The company anticipates that the project's core hot continuous rolling mill will enter full commissioning by mid-2026. Once completed, the project is expected to boost production capacity by 150,000 tonnes for high-end aluminium sheet, strip, and foil materials, along with an additional 300,000 tonnes of hot-rolled aluminium sheet, strip, and foil blanks. This expansion will not only alleviate bottlenecks in the hot-rolling processes of existing production lines but also enhance overall production capacity, refine product quality, and lower comprehensive manufacturing costs.
