As the highly anticipated new car launch event on May 15th draws near, LI AUTO has revealed the key selling points of its brand-new LI L9 Livis model. Li Xiang, the CEO of LI AUTO, emphasized that the vehicle’s 5C extended-range system is a game-changer, effectively overcoming the challenge of limited charging options during extended holiday periods and eliminating the need for fuel in long-distance travel. The system boasts an impressive electric-only range of over 420 kilometers and a rapid charging capability exceeding 420 kilowatts, significantly cutting down on both the frequency and duration of charging stops.

The 5C extended-range system redefines the usage scenarios for extended-range vehicles, enabling them to be used as electric vehicles for daily commutes and long-distance travel, while still offering the flexibility of fuel power for off-road adventures. In most scenarios, a fully charged vehicle can maintain highway speeds for up to 4 hours, with the battery recharging from 10% to 80% in less than 10 minutes. Li Xiang highlighted that the full potential of the 5C extended-range system can only be realized with the support of 5C supercharging stations. He urged industry peers to collaborate in promoting this technology and enhancing the charging infrastructure.

LI AUTO has ambitious plans to install over 4,100 5C charging piles by 2025, with the number expected to rise to 8,300 by 2026, further solidifying its commitment to revolutionizing the electric vehicle landscape.
