Gold Standard Volkswagen is set to forge a channel cooperation alliance with FAW-Volkswagen, a move that will see select FAW-Volkswagen dealers joining in the sales of new Gold Standard Volkswagen vehicles through a ‘store-within-a-store’ approach. Currently, both entities are engaged in discussions to craft service standards for pre-sales and after-sales services, marking a pioneering collaborative endeavor at the sales end among the key players under Volkswagen China. In April 2024, Volkswagen rolled out its new intelligent all-electric category, ID.UX, with ambitions to broaden its product range by 2027. The same year in July, the ID.UNYX Zony made its debut. Come April 2025, the ‘Zony 06’ was introduced to the market. In January 2026, the collaboration framework between XPENG and Volkswagen was put into action, with the first model, Zony 07, rolling off the assembly line. In March, the Zony 08, co-developed by Volkswagen and XPENG, opened its doors for pre-sales.
