On April 1, Musk took to the X platform to declare that Tesla has formally ended the production of its Model S and Model X vehicles. Additionally, the company has stopped accepting new custom orders for these models, leaving consumers with the option to purchase only the available inventory models. Earlier, Musk had hinted that the Optimus humanoid robot would be manufactured at the Fremont factory, leading to the discontinuation of the production lines for the Model S and Model X. Data reveals that in 2025, global deliveries of the Model 3 and Model Y soared to 1.6 million units, whereas other models, encompassing the Model S and Model X, collectively amounted to merely around 50,000 units.
