Kong Yanshuang, former General Manager of Tesla China, has joined Xiaomi in early March, assuming responsibility for automotive sales from Li Xiaorui, the previous Director of Xiaomi Auto. The two are currently engaged in a work handover process. Xiaomi has yet to make an official internal announcement regarding Kong's role, and the company has not provided a response at this time. As a key executive at Tesla China, Kong Yanshuang had long overseen the strategic layout of the sales system and brand promotion efforts. Additionally, an individual known as 'Eason,' who also has a background at Tesla, has joined Xiaomi Auto alongside Kong Yanshuang. Eason holds the position of 'commissioner' within the Xiaomi Auto department and is a member of the Xiaomi Staff Department. It is relatively uncommon for new employees to join the Staff Department directly, a move that underscores not only their personal capabilities but also Xiaomi's commitment to bolstering its automotive retail operations.
