Recently, Zhang Xue Motorcycle made a significant splash in the middleweight category at the Portuguese round of the World Superbike Championship (WSBK). A French rider, riding the 820RR-RS motorcycle, clinched back-to-back victories in two consecutive races, securing a remarkable double win. This achievement marks a historic milestone, as it is the first time a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer has claimed the top spot on the podium in this class at an elite international event.
Zhang Xue, the founder of Zhang Xue Motorcycle, clarified that the decision to prohibit consumers with less than one year of driving experience from purchasing the street version of the 820RR is primarily driven by safety considerations. The aim is to mitigate the risk of accidents, even if this policy entails a potential sacrifice of at least 10% in sales volume. This stance reflects the company's commitment to prioritizing rider safety over short-term financial gains.
