On March 30 (local time), Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation filed a recall request with Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism. The recall encompasses 34,092 large trucks manufactured between April 2021 and February 2026. The root cause of the recall lies in software issues associated with the exhaust gas purification device's control system. These issues may hinder the onboard monitoring system from showing warning messages when a malfunction occurs. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism confirmed that, as of now, no reports of related malfunctions or accidents have been received. Mitsubishi Fuso plans to rectify the problem by implementing software fixes.
