BMW has recently disclosed the exterior design nuances of its new-generation iX3 long-wheelbase model, crafted exclusively for the Chinese automotive market. This vehicle has been meticulously refined in terms of body dimensions and exterior embellishments. It boasts a length of 4,885 mm, a width of 1,895 mm, and a height of 1,635 mm. Notably, the wheelbase has been elongated by 108 mm, reaching a total of 3,005 mm, with the extra space predominantly dedicated to enhancing the comfort of the second-row passengers. The cabin is adorned with a panoramic integrated sunroof, capable of blocking up to 99.9% of UV rays.
In terms of aesthetics, the vehicle offers a choice of nine paint finishes. It features a striking 3D Light Grille and integrated front light clusters that incorporate sensing elements and heating wires on the front fascia. The side profile is distinguished by an exclusive 'Mirrored Curve Corner' design, while the rear is graced with L-shaped 'Sky Feather' taillights, adding a touch of elegance.
For the door safety system, the vehicle is equipped with a new semi-concealed exterior door handle, unique to the Chinese market. This handle seamlessly blends electric and physical switches, coupled with a triple safety redundancy mechanism. It boasts a tensile strength exceeding 500N and a durability of up to 13 years or 50,000 cycles, fully complying with relevant national standards.
