BYD Energy Storage has successfully secured a significant 2.6GWh overseas order, establishing a new strategic partnership with Spain's Grenergy. Per the agreement, BYD is set to supply 468 units of its MC Cube-T energy storage systems for four solar-plus-storage power plants located in Chile. These systems offer substantial benefits and are well-suited to the local solar-plus-storage environment. At present, 168 energy storage cabinets destined for the Gran Teno power plant have been loaded onto a vessel and are anticipated to reach their destination by mid-April, with the goal of achieving grid connection and commencing operations in the second quarter of 2026. Previously, the two entities collaborated on a 3.5GWh energy storage project in May 2025. By 2025, BYD's cumulative shipments of energy storage systems have surpassed 135GWh, with over 650 projects successfully implemented. Its business operations now extend across more than 110 countries and regions globally.
