Recently, Shandong Yanlu New Energy Vehicle Industry Co., Ltd., a company mainly known for its 'Old Man's Joy' electric tricycles, applied to the China National Intellectual Property Administration to declare three design patents—pertaining to the rear bumper, front bumper, and headlights of Xiaomi's SU7 and YU7 models—invalid. This move garnered considerable public attention. On March 27, Yanlu New Energy released a statement in which it acknowledged Xiaomi's legitimate ownership of the relevant design patents. The company confirmed that it had stopped using the disputed components and formally withdrawn its application for patent invalidation on March 25. Additionally, Yanlu New Energy extended an apology to Xiaomi. It has been reported that the two parties have amicably settled the dispute, with Xiaomi also withdrawing its patent infringement lawsuit against Yanlu New Energy.
