SAIC has welcomed its first humanoid robot employee, named ‘Nengzai No.1,’ onto the battery mass production line for the Buick Ultra E7. This robot is now in charge of crucial tasks, including cell handling and material feeding. This milestone represents SAIC’s inaugural implementation of a humanoid robot on a large-scale production line. Developed through a collaborative effort between SAIC General Motors and Enabot, the robot boasts a range of human-like features. These capabilities allow it to autonomously recognize incoming cells and devise handling paths, eliminating the need for fixed programming or exact material placement.
