According to a report by Transport & Environment (Europe), amid intensifying global competition in clean technology and rising pressure on energy security, the window for transformation in Europe's automotive industry is rapidly narrowing. Currently, Europe's electric vehicle sales lag behind China by approximately three years, with a temporary stall in policy momentum and industrial development. Affected by policy uncertainty, the transformation process has slowed down at times. Nevertheless, Europe still possesses a certain industrial foundation, with its battery industry currently in an expansion phase. Additionally, Europe relies heavily on imported oil, with projected spending on oil imports expected to exceed €220 billion by 2025 and €300 billion by 2026.
