On March 17, WeRide showcased its flagship model, Robotaxi GXR, at the NVIDIA GTC 2026 conference. According to the collaboration plan with Grab, both parties have initiated trial operations of Robotaxi GXR in the Punggol area of Singapore, becoming the first enterprises to provide autonomous driving mobility services locally, with a planned official public launch on April 1. Previously, WeRide signed a strategic cooperation enhancement agreement with Geely Remote, planning to deliver 2,000 pre-installed mass-produced Robotaxi GXR units by 2026 for deployment in domestic and international markets, accelerating the global large-scale commercial operation of Robotaxi. Currently, Robotaxi GXR has commenced fully driverless commercial operations in cities such as Guangzhou, Beijing, and Abu Dhabi, with plans to expand to Dubai, Singapore, and other locations.
