Uber and NVIDIA have announced a deepening of their collaboration in autonomous driving, with plans to deploy a fleet of self-driving vehicles powered by NVIDIA's full-stack software in Los Angeles and San Francisco in the first half of 2027, expanding to 28 cities globally by 2028. This deployment leverages NVIDIA's DRIVE Hyperion platform and the next-generation AI model, Alpamayo, aiming to tackle complex road scenarios and accelerate the adoption of L4 autonomous driving technology.
