On March 9 (around this date), Ralf Brandstaetter, Chairman and CEO of Volkswagen Group China, announced that the first collaborative model between Volkswagen and XPENG—the Zony 08, a fully connected, full-size pure electric SUV—officially commenced production in Hefei. This vehicle incorporates advanced localized technologies, including 800-volt ultra-fast charging and enhanced Level 2 assisted driving capabilities. The Zony 07, which is the first model to feature the jointly developed CEA electronic and electrical architecture by both companies, is poised for imminent release. Additionally, the second model developed through this partnership is also scheduled to launch within this year.
