On March 16, TrendForce's latest research on electric vehicle traction inverters revealed that in the fourth quarter of 2025, driven by the year-on-year growth in sales of battery electric vehicles (BEVs), global inverter market installations are projected to climb to approximately 9.65 million units, marking a near two-year high. This underscores the accelerating electrification trend and the rising adoption of electric drive systems in vehicles. From a quarterly perspective, inverter shipments surpassed 8.67 million units in the fourth quarter of 2024, fueled by peak vehicle sales seasons. In the same period of 2025, shipments are set to grow again as demand recovers in China and Europe. Despite a slight decline in total market revenue from $5.5 billion to $5.3 billion due to falling costs, the overall trend reflects "rising volumes with stable prices," indicating that while industry competition intensifies, technological advancements continue to support average unit prices.
