On March 16, SAIC Volkswagen hosted the ID. ERA technology launch event, during which the EA211 premium range extender was officially introduced. Built upon the foundation of the EA211 1.5T engine, this range extender integrates cutting-edge technologies such as APS (Atmospheric Plasma Spraying), ensuring efficient, silent, and steady power delivery. It provides a CLTC pure electric driving range of over 400 kilometers and a total combined range exceeding 1600 kilometers. Notably, the all-wheel-drive variant achieves a mere 6.27 liters of fuel consumption per 100 kilometers when the battery is fully depleted. SAIC Volkswagen intends to gradually incorporate the EA211 premium range extender into the ID. ERA series models.
