Stella Li, Executive Vice President of BYD, revealed that the company is evaluating the feasibility of building a factory in Canada, with plans to own and operate the facility, ruling out joint ventures for now. Meanwhile, BYD is also assessing potential assets for acquiring established automakers. Given the complex market environment in the United States, BYD has shelved its entry plans and is instead focusing on replicating the 'Brazil model,' accelerating the construction of its first European passenger vehicle center in Hungary, and considering new projects in Turkey. Despite a 36% decline in total sales in the first two months of this year, BYD's export momentum remains strong, with a target to sell 1.3 million vehicles overseas by 2026. New products launched this month are expected to help boost sales. Additionally, BYD plans to invest over 500 million reais in Brazil to install ultra-fast charging stations and is exploring entry into competitive motorsports, including F1 and endurance racing.
