As reported by teslarat, Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, unveiled in an interview at the Abundance Summit that the company is poised to commence production of its third-generation humanoid robot, Optimus 3, this coming summer. Musk emphasized that this robot significantly outstrips the prevailing global benchmarks. Initially, the production volumes will be exceedingly constrained, but a substantial ramp-up in production is anticipated by the summer of 2027. Furthermore, he disclosed that the design phase for Optimus 4 will reach completion next year, with an aspiration to roll out a new iteration of robots on an annual basis in the years ahead.
