On March 10, the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government released the Action Plan for Accelerating the Cultivation and Development of Emerging Industries to Steer the Modern Industrial System Construction in Guangdong Province (2026-2035). The plan underscores the need to expedite research and development in key autonomous driving technologies, including core algorithms, computing power chips, and sensing components, while bolstering innovation in perception, decision-making, communication, and other related fields. Simultaneously, it aims to refine Level 2 assisted driving technologies and propel the advancement of higher-level autonomous driving, such as L3 and L4. Furthermore, the plan calls for the establishment of "safety sandboxes" designed for full-scenario and full-domain unmanned traffic testing, facilitating comprehensive system application verification.
