On March 10, 2026 (Beijing Time), Cyndie Palani, Tesla’s Vice President of Finance, announced via social media that he would be stepping down from his role after 17 years with the company. Palani, who assumed his current position in 2021, has had two prior stints at Tesla, during which he oversaw financial, engineering, and manufacturing operations. In response to the announcement, Tesla CEO Elon Musk expressed his appreciation for Palani’s exceptional contributions over the years. Recently, amid Tesla’s strategic pivot toward AI and robotics, several executives, including Palani, have exited the company. Concurrently, Tesla’s core electric vehicle business is encountering challenges, with U.S. market sales declining for two consecutive years.
