On March 9th, WeRide inked a strategic cooperation enhancement pact with Geely Remote New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group, introducing the newly upgraded Robotaxi GXR, which is factory-installed and ready for mass production. This model boasts the cutting-edge autonomous driving technology suite GEN8, encompassing the HPC3.0 high-performance computing platform and the SS8.0 sensor suite. These components collectively deliver robust computing power and advanced perception capabilities. Notably, the production time for each vehicle has been drastically slashed to less than 10 minutes, while the overall vehicle cost is anticipated to drop by 15%. The two companies aim to roll out 2,000 units of the Robotaxi GXR by 2026, with plans to deploy them across both domestic and international markets. This move signifies the dawn of a new era in global large-scale commercial operations.
