China's CR450 electric multiple unit (EMU) train is presently undergoing rigorous operational evaluations as it gears up to welcome passengers on board. Notably, this EMU train has already etched its name in history by setting a world speed record of 453 km/h for a single train, coupled with a staggering relative meeting speed of 896 km/h, thereby earning the title of the fastest EMU train on the planet. At present, more than half of the comprehensive assessments for the CR450 EMU train have been successfully concluded, with the remaining evaluations slated for completion by 2026. This milestone will pave the way for its early induction into commercial service.
