At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, Lu Weibing, Partner at Xiaomi Group, announced that two Xiaomi humanoid robots successfully operated non-stop for three hours on an automotive assembly line, achieving an impressive 90% accuracy rate in their tasks. This trial run served as a crucial 'field test,' marking the transition of Xiaomi's robots from the research lab to the practical production environment. Lu Weibing further disclosed that Xiaomi is set to introduce an entirely new robot product this year, featuring in-house developed chips, an operating system (OS), and an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) large model. Looking ahead, it is anticipated that within the next five years, humanoid robots will be extensively integrated into Xiaomi's manufacturing processes.
