Tang Jing, the head of Li Auto's product lineup, confirmed that the Li Auto MEGA will not have a range-extended version. The MEGA adopts a pure electric architecture with an extremely short front-end design, retaining only the necessary crumple zone space for collisions, while the rest of the space is dedicated to the cabin. Adding a range extender would require lengthening the front end, which would alter the core design philosophy of the MEGA. The Li Auto MEGA was launched in March 2024, and in April 2025, the Li Auto MEGA Ultra Intelligent Refresh Edition and MEGA Home Special Family Edition were introduced.
