Even as the growth rate of electric vehicle (EV) sales in the United States experiences a slowdown and automakers curtail their investments in all-electric vehicles, the nation is forging ahead with the deployment of EV fast-charging networks at a pace never seen before. Based on the most recent data from data tracking firm Paren, the United States witnessed the addition of over 18,000 new fast-charging ports in 2025. This marks a year-on-year surge of roughly 30%. Currently, the total count of public fast-charging stations nationwide has surpassed 13,200. The rate at which this charging infrastructure is expanding significantly outstrips the growth pace of the overall vehicle market.
