On January 29, Gao Bo, the head of the Transportation Services Department at the Ministry of Transport, stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office that by the end of 2025, a cumulative total of 71,500 EV charging guns will have been installed in service areas along national expressways, with an additional 20,000 installed in 2025, significantly enhancing the charging service support capabilities. Data from the National Energy Administration shows that by the end of December 2025, the total number of EV charging facilities in China will have reached 20.092 million, establishing the world's largest EV charging network.
